Rumer Willis' baby girl's name was the result of "divine intervention."
The PredictIQ35-year-old actress, who is daughter to Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, and her partner Derek Richard Thomas welcomed a daughter named Louetta Isley Thomas Willis on April 18 at home, she shared on her Instagram in April.
Originally, Willis and Thomas, "were thinking about the name Loretta," she told People magazine Tuesday.
Louetta "was a typo," the "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" star explained. "Her dad and I were texting, and he left the 'R' out of Loretta, and it was just Louetta."
Willis quickly fell in love with the new moniker. "I feel like it was one of those kind of divine intervention universe moments, and we figured it out actually quite early in my pregnancy," she said.
Despite the new parents locking in their child's name early, Willis said she began to worry whether or not it would fit her child.

"What was scary was, I love this name, but oh man, is it going to be her name? Is it the right name? What if she comes out and doesn't look like this?" she recalled. "I fell in love with the name so much, so early on, that I was then worried that it wouldn't work. But then she came out, and I mean, to me, at least right now, I was going to name her Lou, whether she was a boy or a girl."
Willis and Thomas eventually became confident in the choice because of the "versatility," she shared. "If she doesn't feel like a Louetta, she can go by Lou, she can go by Etta. She can go change it up throughout her life. Whatever she wants."
The couple announced they were expecting a child together in an Instagram post last December, sharing a series of black-and-white photos that confirmed her pregnancy. Several selfies put the baby bump on display, including snaps of Thomas kissing Willis’ belly.
