Brant Daugherty is Charles Langstonkeeping a pretty little secret from his kids.
The Pretty Little Liars alum, who spent 7 seasons on the ABC Family series as antagonist, Noel Kahn, told E! News in an exclusive interview that he’s excited for sons Wilder, 3, and Aero, 10 months, to see some of his work—but it’s gonna be a minute before they see the others.
“It really makes me happy to have a body of work that I can share with them,” said the actor, married to Kim Daugherty since 2019. “It's gonna be a few years before I introduce them to Pretty Little Liars.” And as for the final installment of the 50 Shades trilogy he appeared in alongside Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, and Rita Ora in 2018, he joked, “I'll probably never sit them in front of 50 Shades Freed.”
For now they keep busy with more g-rated activities like sharing ice cream and sweet embraces. Brant gushed that his oldest, Wilder, is “the sweetest big brother” and is “so loving and kind” to Aero.
After welcoming their youngest 2 days before Christmas in 2023, the family is still working on building their own new traditions. “You know, we kind of just started all these things so we’re figuring it out,” said the father of two. Despite this, Brant feels a new family ritual could be brewing sooner than they think. “One of the traditions has been watching, daddy's Christmas movie every year,” the actor teased. “So we've got that coming up Friday.”
Really, Brant is stoked for everyone to see Trivia at St. Nick’s when it comes out Nov. 8. “You know this is a comedy and it's something a little bit different for me, this character,” said the star. “I'm just really excited to share it with everyone and it’s so fun to see a new side of me.”
Not only will the film bring some holiday joy and cheer, but it’ll also bring a little nostalgia. Brant shared in a Sept. 25 Instagram post that this film will be a “PLL reunion” since he’s appearing alongside former costar Tammim Sursok. The Hallmark vet shared that working with Tammin again “was a treat honestly” and “it was such a lovely reunion.”
The reunion even brought the pair closer. “We got to know each other even better than we got to know each other back on Pretty Little Liars,” the writer recounted. Despite the castmates having not seen each other for quite some time, Brant felt the whole cast shared a special bond “by the sheer amount of time” they spent together. Because of that, him and Tammin were able to “just jump right back into it,” he explained of working with the actress, who shares Phoenix, 11, and Lennon, 5, with husband Sean McEwen. “To see how far she's come in her life, you know. She's a mother of two and I'm a father of two now.”
In terms of another possible Pretty Little Liars reunion—Brant hopes to keep it all in the Hallmark Cinematic Universe. The star revealed that he does keep in touch with some of the cast. “I chat with some of the guys. Torrey Devitto is a friend of mine,” he shared. “I know she's in the Hallmark world too. I would love to do something with her at some point.”
